Erosion control is a margin field related with multi technology, application of the control measures have taken great effect on reduction of soil loss and development of agro economy in the North western Chin, especially in the Loass Plateau area. The protection and utilization of water resources are introduced using the erosion control measures in north western China, and analyzed some related aspect so that to emphasize the importance of erosion control to the improvement of ecology, especially to the protection and sustainable utilization of the limited water resources during the implementation of "Great Development of Western China".
