The concentrations of total nitrogen, dissoluble nitrogen, total phosphorus and dissoluble phosphorus in surface runoff were monitored in different sloping land within the Qiandaohu watershed. The results show that the concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus in surface runoff varied strongly, and the average concentrations in cultivated slope land were high than that in uncultivated slope land. The average ratios of DN/TP and DP/TP had no contrast in different slope land, and the ratios were 0.45 and 0.22. The correlation between dairy rainfall and N and P concentrations under different slope land use pattern was very significant.
