    Abstract:

The soil and water conservation function of Chinese pine mixed forests and pure pine stand is studied on soil physical properties, water holding capac ities of forest canopy, ground vegetation and litter layer, water storage capac ity of soil, soil permeability and soil erosion. The results show that the mixed forests of Chinese pine have better water and soil conservation function than i ts pure forests.
